Council Chairman Wants Malam Muda Mudi Held Again

City Council Chairman, Prasetio Marsudi wants the malam muda-mudi event (Youngster night) to be reheld again at New Year's Eve in the city.

The event is very good for children to know about culture

"Malam muda-mudi must be reactivated. The event is very good for children to know about culture. because various art and culture events are displayed here," he disclosed, Tuesday (9/6).

Prasetio went on the say that, besides bringing benefits to youth generation, the event also able to attract tourists to visit Jakarta.

"Foreign tourist will know that we have a unique event," he expressed.

He explained that people would not focus on Taman Impian Jaya Ancol during New Year's Eve.

"It will bring risk if they only concentrate at one point, Ancol," he explained.

He assessed, the event is very festive when Jokowi still served as Jakarta Governor. Hence, City Tourism and Culture Dept was asked to rehold it again.

"Jakarta as a metropolitan city has tourist culture. Thus the event should be held again," he said

City Tourism and Culture Dept Head, Catur Laswanto explains malam muda-mudi is dispensed because his dept has difficulty processing financial accountability letter.

"This event is held on December 31. Is the budget could later be accounted for at the beginning of the year. There needs to be a recommendation from BPKAD and inspectorate in advance," he finished.
